How did it emerge?
This idea emerged from a deeper realization, one rooted in personal experience. Watching a family member navigate cancer care, I witnessed firsthand how isolating and overwhelming the journey can be, especially when care systems fail to recognize the emotional, cultural, or identity-based needs of patients and their loved ones. It became clear that so many stories go unheard, and so many people go unsupported—not because they don’t need help, but because they don’t fit into a system that was never built with them in mind. Carewise was born from that moment of recognizing the overlooked in care. It’s about filling the gaps, creating connection, and offering support that truly sees the whole person.
