User Experience Design, Design Strategy, User Research, User Testing, Information Architechture, Prototyping, Stakeholder Collaboration

Challenge

Develop an end-to-end design process, from ideation to implementation, for a chosen concept using mixed-method research, rapid prototyping, iterative user testing, etc.

Position

As an international student, I experienced how difficult it can be to navigate unfamiliar systems. Ease was designed to create clearer pathways to support, transition, and community.

Prototype

Onboarding + Welcome captures essential student context in a simple, low-pressure way,

allowing Ease to personalize guidance from the very beginning.

Questions are straightforward and kept to a minimum, reducing cognitive overload

Contextual questions help in personalization of the experience from the start

Progress indicator helps indicate the journey for the user, improving navigation clarity

Dashboard + Services centralizes housing guidance, services, alumni support, and personalized tools,

helping students move from planning to action with clearer next steps.

Turns student priorities into guided next steps across housing, services, and settling in needs

Builds trust through alumni connections, community support, and student-centered resources

Adapts the experience through profile settings, relevant topics, and personalized chat assistance
